Bio Corneal Ring
Corneal rings are typically used for patients with mild to moderate myopia (-1.0 to -3.0 diopters of correction and 1.0 diopter or less of astigmatism). An advantage over other surgical vision correction procedures like PRK or LASIK is that the implants are removable, which could allow for reversal or partial reversal of the correction, or replacement with different rings to change the amount of correction. Additional advantages are a lower risk of side effects, and a greater success rate of achieving the desired correction.
Bio Corneal Rings are available in 5 different thickness : 0.25 mm, 0.30 mm, 0.35 mm, 0.40mm and 4.45 mm for correction of myopia less than 4.50 diopters and less than 0.75 diopter astigmatism

Advantages:
- Safe and effective means to correct mild myopia and as treatment of keratoconus
- An alternative to eyeglasses, contact lenses and LASIK or PRK.
- Made up to biocompatible material that has been safely used nearly 50 years in ophthalmic surgery.
- Eliminating the possibility of central visual distorion(central optical zone not altered)as in Lasik or PRK.
- Enhanced Visual performance which is immediate after surgery
- Maintenance free
- Reversibility: If patient is not satisfied with the vision and/or there are any problem associated with the ICR, it is easy to remove and in almost all cases, return to the eye to or very colse to presurgical state
